A First Course in Linear Algebra
The linear algebra textbook with freedom
How Can I Help?
The success of an open-source text depends both on contributions to the content and on the size of the community using the book. So advertising the text to others can be just as helpful as reporting errors and contributing new content. If you have found this book useful, consider the following ways you can give something back.
Students
- Drop the author an email if you have found the book useful or interesting. Internet distribution is an easy way to go, but its a lot like talking on the radio - you wonder if anybody is listening?
- If you have been assigned another text for a course, mention this one to your classmates and professor.
- Mention this text in online forums where students gather to discuss linear algebra problems.
- Write a review at The Assayer or Textbook Revolution.
- Report typographical errors and errors in content to the author. Make sure you have first checked the latest version from the downloads page, since the problem may already be fixed.
- Submit new exercises, calculator usage notes, or ideas for the Topics or Applications sections.
- If you can afford it, encourage the author with a royalty donation.
